The deposit of Phd theses in InsubriaSPACE is part of the duties to fulfil for being granted a PhD degree, as stated in the Doctorate regulation, which came into force on July 2008.

InsubriaSPACE grants preservation of Phd theses and public access to their metadata or full text, depending on the declaration signed by the author stating the reasons for the embargo; in all cases metadata are immediately searchable and retrievable.
The National Library of Florence, according to the Italian legislation, will harvest both the metadata and full texts of the doctoral theses stored in InsubriaSPACE.
